This event has traditionally been a good
opportunity for potential new members to come and get to know the group, so
please invite any of your marina neighbors and acquaintances who have
traditional sailboats to come and participate. We have quite a few new members
already this year, so make a point of getting to know each other while
partaking on this great feast – best potluck on this side of the bay! (Maybe the whole bay.)
We will be ordering MMBA sweaters and
jackets in advance of the regatta on a pre-paid order basis this year and plan
to have a sample of each and order sheets on hand at the potluck. Tentatively
scheduled is a brief presentation the Call of the Sea's program recent offshore
cruise south on the schooner Seaward with young sailors from both the Sea
Scouts and the Pegasus Project.
2010 Master Mariners Regatta applications
forms will be handed out to current members, and then mailed to any who are not
able to attend.
Volunteers appreciated for
set-up and clean-up.
